The inked version of this drawing was done in January 2007, with the pencil version being done in February 2007. The three men portrayed in both
versions are Johann Schmidt (der Rote Totenkopf, the Red Skull), Dr Heinrich Baron Zemo, and Wolfgang Baron von Strucker. In both versions, the
Red Skull is wearing the uniform of a Generaloberst (colonel-general, equivalent to an Anglo-American general) and Baron von Strucker that of an
Oberst (colonel). In the inked version, Baron Zemo is wearing the uniform of a Generalleutnant (lieutenant-general, equivalent to an Anglo-American
major general), while in the pencil version he is wearing that of a SS-Gruppenführer (SS group leader, equivalent to a Generalleutnant/major general)
in 16. SS-PzGren Div Reichsführer-SS. The uniforms are modeled on those found in Osprey Publishing Ltd’s The German Army 1939 - 45 (3)
Eastern Front 1941 - 43 and The Waffen-SS (3) 11. to 23. Divisions.
The line work was done in pencil. The inked version was done with a Pilot Precise V5 extra fine rolling ball pen. Both versions were published on 27
February 2007.
