Who’s Who

Page
Page was a politician from Corulag active in the Imperial Senate at some indeterminate time prior to the dissolution of the Senate in 35 rS.
Mentioned in the
Heir to the Empire Sourcebook, Page was described as “a corrupt Senator” from “Corulag, one of the Imperial Core Worlds.” His
son hated him for “selling out” and not being “more like the Jedi Knights of legend,” but was not averse to using Page’s wealth to “train himself in all
forms of combat and defense techniques, unsure what he would do with the knowledge but feeling better for doing something while the sons and
daughters of the other Core World Senators grew fat, lazy, and devoid of any redeeming qualities.” Page indulged his son’s passions, “thinking this
phase of idealism would eventually come to an end.” When this failed to come to pass, Page decided to send his son to the Academy, saying “If you
want to train like a soldier, then you might as well serve the right side.” His son took advantage of “the avenues of study open to him as the son of a
prominent Senator,” graduated, and was assigned to General Veers’s command (as this predates the Battle of Yavin, it cannot have been the same
officer as Major General Maximilian Veers, commanding general of the Imperial forces at Hoth VI). Page’s son fell under the influence of Senator the
Princess Leia of Alderaan (Alderaan) after hearing her speak to the Council of Galactic Rights while he was on leave on Imperial Center, and soon
afterward he defected from the Imperial Army to join the rebel Alliance to Restore the Republic as a Special Forces officer (he ultimately rose to the
rank of lieutenant and commanded the famous Katarn Commandos).

Page is mentioned in the non-canonical
Invention section’s The Test of Wills, where he is mentioned as “Jheramyd Page.” This given name is
unattested and has no evidential status of any kind whatever.
